Our Favourite Baby & Toddler Reads: From Sensory Boards to Storytime

Reading together is one of our simplest, most grounding daily rhythms. I have read consistently to my little boy from the very moment he was born; in those early newborn weeks, I simply read him my own books aloud so he could soak in the cadence of my voice, before naturally transitioning into high-contrast baby boards, interactive flap books, and toddler stories as he grew.

Free from screens and over-stimulating gadgets, our home collection focuses on tactile touch-and-feel boards, lyrical rhymes, durable flaps, and gentle stories that give little ones words for their expanding worlds.

In my opinion, age ranges are purely a loose guide, as all children develop and connect with stories at completely different rates. I would always recommend that parents take a moment to read through any new book beforehand, just to make sure the story, language, and overall content align with your own family values.

Every title in this directory has earned a permanent place on our low shelves, floors, beds, everywhere to be honest! It’s shared here to help you skip the noise and find engaging, beautifully made books that will be loved on repeat.
