Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here.

My approach to maternal wellness doesn’t rely on strict regimes, rigid metrics, or over-complicated wellness trends. Instead, it is built on keeping things simple, grounded, and practical through two core foundations: nourishing, real food and natural, everyday movement.
I created this space out of sheer frustration with how modern mothers are constantly targeted, overwhelmed, and sold expensive products or complicated programmes we simply do not need. Motherhood is demanding enough without exhausting checklists.
Having gathered, filtered, and lived through the evidence from pregnancy right up to two years postpartum, I wanted to collate everything in one clear place, completely free, independent, and without commercial noise. Based in Norfolk in the UK, my goal is to offer suggestions that are sustainable, concise, and easy to weave into family life, while providing links to trusted external sources and evidence whenever you want to dive deeper.
Background & Experience:
- Health Foundations: I hold a BSc (Hons) in Health Sciences, with a final project on Fertility and reproduction providing me with a solid understanding of human biology, physiology, and wellness.
- Psychological Insight: Motherhood is as much a mental journey as a physical one. Alongside my Master’s degree (MSc) in Psychology and Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills, my postgraduate research specifically examined mothers’ experiences of autonomous decision-making during pregnancy, exploring the roles of social media, social support, influencing factors, and the quality of care received from midwives. I completed both of these qualifications whilst pregnant and caring for a new-born, finishing my final research project heavily sleep-deprived and constantly breastfeeding! This experience bridged clinical theory with raw postpartum life, allowing me to view maternal wellbeing through an empathetic, deeply grounded lens.
- Lived, Real-World Motherhood: Scientific studies and textbooks are valuable, but they don’t capture the reality of postpartum recovery or feeding a toddler. As a mother who has breastfed and co-slept for over two years and reclaimed my own physical comfort through barefoot mechanics and walking, everything I share is grounded in real, everyday family life. You can read more about my breastfeeding journey here.
Take what serves your family, leave what doesn’t, and enjoy the journey at your own pace.
From my family to yours,
Melissa x
